Since Day 1, We See Abilities has been based on the premise that lasting change must start with young people, Future Lead Warriors. Every day, we are working together to inspire long-term transformations in the actions and attitudes of the next generation, with the goal of creating a more inclusive world than ever before. Through community events and leadership activities, We See Abilities provides opportunities for young people of all abilities to be leaders in their schools and communities. These leadership activities help Future Warriors with and without intellectual disabilities find their voices by teaching them to become change agents, striving for respect and inclusion. And community events, sporting activities as well as workout programs help everyone get fitter and healthier – together! This initiative is based on the evidence that students who “play unified” become better at helping others, sharing responsibility, and standing up for each other. We also see how students involved in We See Abilities programs gain patience and the ability to compromise. They learn to embrace diversity and respect differences. This leads to higher levels of social and emotional security for ALL students, with and without disabilities, who feel safe from teasing, bullying and social exclusion. Future Lead Warriors have the power to positively impact their communities by promoting social inclusion through our leadership program.
There is only so much we can do without the help of people in and around our community. While we already have a strong foundation of caring donors and sponsors , we need your help to reach our goal.
By donating you can help us not only give the local Special Needs community, but the 4.5 MILLION Special Needs individuals the life and love they deserve. Your support is key in solving this problem.
Would you consider donating just a low minimum of $10.00 to help us achieve our mission?
We thank you in advance for your support! Your donation is greatly appreciated and will be used to touch the lives of the Special Needs community on a GLOBAL level. You can either donate online by filling out the form below, call us at (832) 928-2922, or send a check to 26511 Oakridge Dr. The Woodlands, TX 77382.
